Identity and creation

A connection ID identifies the current player session; a citizenId identifies a character across sessions.
The selected account identifier owns the character slots.
Use the character ID when storing references that must survive a reconnect.
| Setting | Default | Behavior |
|---|---|---|
identifiers | { "license2", "license", } | Server setting: the first available identifier type is used. |
characters.maxSlots | 5 | Maximum slots for one identifier; must be an integer of at least 1. |
characters.allowDelete | true | Shows and permits player-initiated character deletion. |
characters.name.minLength / maxLength | 2 / 20 | First and last name limits, counted as UTF-8 characters. |
characters.defaultNationality | "Japan" | Used when nationality is empty. |
characters.defaultMetadata | {} | Initial metadata for a new character. |
characters.citizenId.letters / digits | 3 / 5 | Generated character IDs contain three letters and five digits. |
Creation trims names and rejects digits, control characters, and the markup characters listed by the name validator.
Birthdates use YYYY-MM-DD, with a year from 1900 through 2100 and a valid calendar date.
Gender is male or female; nationality is limited to 50 UTF-8 characters.
The server assigns the lowest available slot and checks ownership when selecting or deleting a character.
Deleting a character removes its rows from both REC_Core tables in one transaction.
Related rows in other resources must be cleaned up through handler:onCharacterDeleted or the corresponding server event.
