Jobs and gangs
Definitions
Jobs and gangs for REC_Core, with configuration and implementation details.

- Updated
Define jobs in config/sh_jobs.lua and gangs in config/sh_gangs.lua.
Each character has one job and one gang.
Both use numbered grades; duty state belongs to the job.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
name | The lower-case table key used in exports, such as police. |
label / type | Display name and optional group type. |
defaultDuty | Job duty state used when assigning a job. |
grades | A table indexed by integer grades starting at 0. |
grades[n].name / payment / isBoss | Grade label, paycheck amount, and boss flag. |
config/sh_jobs.lua
["police"] = {
label = "LSPD",
type = "leo",
defaultDuty = true,
grades = {
[0] = { name = "Recruit", payment = 50, },
[1] = { name = "Chief", payment = 150, isBoss = true, },
},
},
Add or replace the entry inside the existing return table.
The example defines grades 0 and 1; it does not create the intermediate grades from the shipped police definition.
isBoss is data other resources can inspect; it does not create a boss menu.
